Two different communities

Valencia Trails vs Valencia Golf

They share a name and nothing else. Valencia Trails is a 55+ GL Homes community; Valencia Golf & Country Club is an all-ages Lennar community with public golf.

Name collision

Valencia Trails and Valencia Golf & Country Club are not the same place

They are two unrelated Naples communities that happen to share a word: Valencia Trails is a 55+ community built by GL Homes with no golf course, and Valencia Golf & Country Club is an all-ages community where Lennar is building four single-story plans around a public, pay-as-you-play 18-hole course.

Different builder. Different age rule. Different amenities. Different price band. No corporate relationship of any kind between them. They both carry a Naples 34120 address, which is most of why this keeps happening.

If you searched one and landed on the other, this page will sort it out in about two minutes.

Why this happens

Why do two Naples communities both start with “Valencia”?

Because GL Homes uses Valencia as a brand name across its Florida portfolio. Its own website currently lists communities including Valencia Harbor, Valencia Ridge, Valencia Sky, Valencia Del Mar, Valencia Grand, and Valencia at Riverland, spread across both coasts of the state. Valencia Trails in Naples is one of that family.

Valencia Golf & Country Club is not part of that family and never has been. It is an older Collier County community — originally developed around 2006, well before Lennar’s involvement — named for the golf course it was built around. Lennar is now building the current and final phase of homesites inside it.

So: same first word, no shared ownership, no shared HOA, no shared amenities, no shared sales office. If someone has been telling you about “Valencia in Naples,” it is worth establishing which one before you get further into it, because the two communities are not remotely interchangeable — one of them will not sell you a home at all if you are under 55.

Valencia Golf & Country Club vs. Valencia Trails

Valencia Golf & Country ClubValencia Trails
Builder Lennar builds the current phase GL Homes
Age restriction All ages. Not 55+ 55+ active adult. Consistently listed as age-restricted by GL Homes and by third-party community directories
Location Orangetree corridor, Naples 34120, roughly nine miles east of I-75 off Immokalee Road, near Oil Well Road Naples 34120, on Immokalee Road east of Collier Boulevard, described as directly across from TwinEagles — several miles west of Valencia Golf & Country Club
Golf 18-hole public, pay-as-you-play course inside the gates, roughly $30 a round. Membership optional, never bundled into HOA dues No golf course on site. Directories note residents play nearby courses, including this one
Size Lennar’s current phase is approximately 112 homesites within the older, wider community Roughly 850 homes planned on about 550 acres
Homes Four single-story plans, 2,032 to 2,444 square feet, 3–4 bedrooms, three of four with a three-car garage Single-family homes across several collections, built from roughly 2020 onward
Price Lennar base prices $463,999–$520,999, plus lot-priced move-in ready homes Higher. A 55+ community directory listed a range of low $500,000s to low $1,000,000s, while a Naples brokerage listing feed showed active resales roughly $749,000 to $2,150,000 in August 2026. Sources differ; confirm current pricing directly
HOA Lennar publishes an approximate HOA of $399 per month for this phase, with lawn maintenance included Higher, and sources conflict. A 55+ directory listed $405–$537 per month; a brokerage listing feed showed a master fee near $1,611 per quarter plus an annual dining minimum. We have not verified a current figure in writing and will not state one as fact
CDD Lennar’s marketing for this phase states there is no CDD. We pull the Collier County tax record for the specific parcel We have not verified whether a CDD or similar district assessment applies. Ask for the parcel-level tax record before you assume either way
Amenities Resort pool, Mediterranean-inspired clubhouse, fitness center, tennis, dog park, playground, maintained lawns, plus the course with range, pro shop and patio bar Substantially larger club program: a clubhouse reported at roughly 42,000–43,000 square feet with multiple pools, six clay tennis courts, eight pickleball courts, bocce, restaurant, spa services, arts studio and miles of trails
Still selling new? Yes. Lennar is selling its current and final phase here Uncertain. As of August 2026, GL Homes’ own list of active Florida communities does not include Valencia Trails, which suggests new-home sales have wound down and it now trades mainly as resale. Confirm with GL Homes before you plan a build

Competitor details above were last checked in August 2026 from public sources and the community’s own published material. They change without notice. Where two sources disagreed, we have shown you both rather than picking the one that flattered our argument.

Honest fit

Which one you actually want

These two barely compete. Once you know which is which, most buyers know immediately which side of the line they are on — and for a good number of people, that side is Valencia Trails.

Valencia Trails is the better fit if…

  • You are 55 or older and you want an age-restricted community with neighbors in the same stage of life.
  • You want a full resort-club program — a large clubhouse, staffed activities, a restaurant on site, a serious racquet and pickleball facility.
  • Your budget comfortably clears Valencia Golf & Country Club’s range and you would rather spend it on club amenity than on golf access.
  • You want to be closer in on Immokalee Road, several miles west of the Orangetree corridor.
  • You do not play golf and have no interest in living on a course.

Valencia Golf & Country Club is the better fit if…

  • You are under 55, or you have children or grandchildren who will live with you. A 55+ community is not an option for you at any price.
  • You want a new single-story home in the mid-$400s to low-$500s rather than at double that.
  • You want golf without a membership obligation. Roughly $30 a round, optional membership, nothing bundled into dues — the full explanation is here.
  • You want a lower fixed monthly carry. Lennar publishes an approximate $399 per month HOA for this phase with lawn care included.
  • You want to buy from an active builder phase with warranty and included hurricane impact windows, and you want homes you can actually close on this year.
Sorting out the names

The questions people ask once they realize there are two

Is Valencia Trails the same as Valencia Golf & Country Club?

No. They are separate, unrelated Naples communities. Valencia Trails is built by GL Homes and is 55+ with no golf course on site. Valencia Golf & Country Club is an older Collier County community, originally developed around 2006, where Lennar is now building its current phase of single-story homes around an 18-hole public golf course, and it is open to all ages. There is no shared developer, HOA, sales office or amenity access between the two. Both use Naples 34120 addresses, which is the main source of the mix-up.

Is Valencia Trails 55+? Is Valencia Golf & Country Club?

Valencia Trails is consistently listed as a 55+ active adult community by GL Homes and by independent community directories. Valencia Golf & Country Club is all ages — there is no age restriction, and families with school-age children live here, zoned to Corkscrew Elementary, Corkscrew Middle and Palmetto Ridge High. If age restriction is the deciding factor for you in either direction, it is worth reading the specific occupancy language in the community documents rather than relying on a marketing summary, and we will get you those documents.

Does Valencia Trails have a golf course?

No. Despite what the shared name suggests to search engines, Valencia Trails has no golf course on site; its amenity program is built around a large clubhouse, multiple pools, tennis and pickleball. The golf is on our side of the confusion: Valencia Golf & Country Club is built around an 18-hole, par 72 public course at 1725 Double Eagle Trail, designed by Gordon Lewis and opened in 1997, later renovated by Drew Rogers. It is pay-as-you-play at roughly $30 a round, and membership is optional rather than bundled into HOA dues.

Why is Valencia Trails so much more expensive?

Different product, different amenity load. Valencia Trails is a newer, larger-scale 55+ development with a clubhouse reported at roughly 42,000 to 43,000 square feet, several pools, a restaurant, and a substantial racquet facility, and that program is carried in both the home price and the monthly fee. Valencia Golf & Country Club’s Lennar phase sits at $463,999 to $520,999 with a leaner amenity set and a golf course that charges the golfers rather than everyone. Neither approach is wrong, but they are aimed at different buyers. Our FAQ page covers the cost stack here in more detail.

If you meant the other one, we will tell you

We represent buyers at Valencia Golf & Country Club and we know the community well. If it turns out you actually wanted the 55+ community up Immokalee Road, say so and we will point you at it without a pitch — that is a five-second conversation, not a lost cause. If you are under 55, or you want golf you are not forced to pay for, then you are in the right place and we should talk about which of the four plans fits.
